Sewing Basics Kits

Sewing Basics Kit Recommendation

Summer sewing season is here, and we have a calendar of classes ready to help you learn to sew. Because our classes ask students to come prepared with their own Sewing Basics Kit, we've put a list together to help you better collect, gather, and find for purchase in our shop, all that you need to succeed.

Also, receive 15% off your items when making a purchase during class hours when participating.

We recommend the list below.  For classes, please see full-descriptions for what to bring, what is provided, and any special materials needed for projects. Please mark all items brought to class with your name so they return home with you and we can return them to you if left behind.

  • Hand-sewing needles
  • Thread (appropriate colors for the project)
  • Scissors/Shears
  • Pins
  • Marking pen for fabric
  • Seam ripper
  • Measuring tape
  • Container to hold these supplies
